Boys Win Mt. Vernon Invite, Bass Breaks School Record for Girls

This past weekend the Indoor Track & Field team traveled up to Mt. Vernon to compete in the Mt. Vernon Indoor Invitational.
The boys program scored 119 points on their way to a first place victory over the 33 other competing squads. On the girls side, Ma’Khayla Bass had a record breaking day as she broke the school record for the indoor 400m dash with a time of 59.62 seconds.
Event champions on the day were:
- Keyshawn Garrett | Long Jump & Triple Jump
- Alex Moncrief | 400m Dash
- Boys 4x200m Relay Team of Semarion Sroufe, Peyton Tengesdahl, Keyshawn Garrett, and James Dyer IV
- Girls 4z200m Relay Team of Ma’Khayla Bass, Abeer Seneen, Samya Wilder, and Trinity Perkins
The program is off until the new year when they travel to Ohio Northern University on January 3rd.
