Warrior Football traveled to play the 3rd seeded Findlay Trojans last Friday night at Findlay's Donnell Stadium.
Isaiah Thompson punched in a touchdown midway through the first quarter to give the Warriors a 7-0 lead. The two teams traded blows defensively for the rest of the first half before Kye Graham found Jamier Brown for a five yard touchdown with 40 seconds remaining in the half to extend the Warrior lead to 14-3 at intermission.
Findlay scored on their first drive to open the half but the Warriors responded when Graham scrambled and found James Dyer IV alone down field for the 75 yard score late in the 3rd quarter.
The Warrior defense, playing strong all game, really came alive in the fourth quarter as they forced two turnover leading to Warrior scores.
A Sean Heisle interception (his 2nd of the game) set up an Isaiah Thompson 35 yard rumble and then a few minutes later, Aaden Curtis got an interception and finished out the offensive possession on the other end by catching a 22 yard strike from Graham for the game's final score of 34-10.
Earlier in the 2nd half, Marvin Williams got a strip sack and recovered the fumble, totaling four Warrior take aways in the game.
Graham finished 13-25 for 247 yards and three scores with Dyer IV being the primary benefactor securing 3 catches for 109 yards and the score. Brown caught 5 passes for 64 yards and his second quarter score. Semarion Sroufe also added 4 catches for 52 yards.
Isaiah Thompson led the ground attack once again with 19 carries for 91 yards and 2 scores.
Outside of the four takeaways, it was Kory Minor who led the Warrior defense with 10 total tackles and DJ Nall-Oliver just behind him with 9 tackles.
The Warriors advance to the Division I, Region II Semifinals where they will take on the Troy Trojans at Troy Memorial Stadium at 7:00 pm on Friday, November 14th.
