Football Gameday Protocols: Wayne vs Springfield

Huber Heights City Schools is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable game day experience for those attending Wayne High School’s home football game against Springfield at Heidkamp Stadium on Friday, October 3. To help achieve that goal, changes have been made in certain game-day procedures.
- Kickoff time for this game will be 6 p.m. Both the main and student gates will open at 5.
- No online ticket sales will take place. All tickets must be purchased at the gate.
- Only a limited number of tickets will be sold for both the home and visitor’s sections.
- Students attending must meet the following criteria:
- High school students from both schools will be required to present a current school ID card for entry.
- Weisenborn Junior High students will be required to give their student ID number for entry.
- Elementary school students will be admitted only when accompanied by an adult.
- Fans entering the stadium must choose the home or visitor’s side. Changing sides during the game will be prohibited.
To enhance fan safety, additional security and law enforcement officers will be present. Extra lighting will be utilized in the parking lot and other areas of the stadium.
“Safety is our paramount concern for spectators from both communities,” Huber Heights City Schools Superintendent Jason Enix said. “We believe these measures will help contribute to a positive atmosphere at what will certainly be a terrific high school football game Friday.

Huber Heights City Schools has announced specific ticket sale quantities for Friday’s Wayne High School football game against Springfield at 6 p.m. at Heidkamp Stadium.
Home Side Seating
- 2,000 general admission tickets will be sold at the gate. All current season tickets will remain valid for this game.
- 200 general admission tickets will be sold to Wayne High School students who present their current ID card at the gate.
- 50 general admission tickets will be sold to Weisenborn Junior High School Students who give their ID number at the gate.
Visitor’s Side Seating
- 1,000 general admission tickets will be sold at the gate. This number includes both students and adults. Students will be required to produce a current Springfield High School ID card for entry.
Greater Western Ohio Conference (GWOC) passes will be accepted for admission, as will Renaissance cards previously issued to Huber Heights City Schools students.
These measures are in place to help enhance spectator safety and freedom of movement. Fans will be encouraged not to congregate in non-seating areas during the game.
