Haney Wins GWOC Championship for Warrior Golf

With a career low 66 (-6), Warrior senior Braylen Haney took first place at today's GWOC Championship held at Pipestone Golf Club.

Haney's -6 finish was good for a five-stroke victory over a group of four tied at -1.

The GWOC Championship is the first individual championship in boys golf since Michael Bernard won it four years in a row from 2008-2011. Haney's First Team All-GWOC finish is the first time Warrior Golf has had someone finish first team since his brother Bryce did it in 2015.

As a team, the Warriors finished fourth out of eight teams.

On the girls side, sophomore Taylor Stringfield took 4th place individually in a low-scoring field as the girls placed 6th of 7 teams.
