Lady Warrior Soccer Opens Season with Emphatic Victory

Lady Warrior Soccer opened their season last night in a varsity only matchup against the Bulldogs from Yellow Springs. They started hot and didn't look back on their way to an impressive 10-0 victory over Yellow Springs.

The lopsided affair was the largest margin of victory for the program since a 13-0 victory over Ponitz in 2019.

Hawa Saidi and Ashlyn O'Connor led the scoring attack, each posting hat tricks. Lauren Clucas, Eniah Smith, Nadia Strodes, and Nakayla Walker scored a goal each to round out the offense.

Kaitlyn Wayman was impressive in goal on the backend of a strong Warrior defense, saving the only two SOG from the Bulldogs en route to a shutout.

The Lady Warriors will look to keep the momentum into another home game on Wednesday (8/20) when they welcome Graham High School to campus for another varsity only contest at 6:00 pm.
