This past weekend, the Greater Western Ohio Conference (GWOC) hosted a pair of GWOC meets.
Beavercreek played host to an unofficial GWOC Championship meet on Saturday and freshman standout Amiyah Murray made Warrior Wrestling history by becoming the first Lady Warrior to place 1st in their weight class at the event.
Entering as the two seed, Murray received a bye into the semi-finals. She took down Huelsman from Northmont before finishing off Whitaker from Centerville in the finals to take the crown.
On the boys side of things, the Warriors had a strong showing as they finished with five overall placers:
- Aiden Carpenter | 3rd Place
- Brandon Clawson | 3rd Place
- Evan Hurd | 4th Place
- David Sparks | 4th Place
- Jackson Sheplar | 4th Place
Both programs will open postseason play this week - Girls on 2/27 at Eaton HS and Boys on 2/28 at Centerville HS.
