Last week, sophomore Taylor Stringfield was busy as she competed in a pair of high leverage matches on back to back days.

On Wednesday, Stringfield shot a 78 to finish in 4th place at the GWOC Championships at Pipestone. The finish was good for her 2nd straight 1st Team All-GWOC award which are also the first two in the program since the GWOC began keeping records in 2006. Additionally, she became just the second golfer in boys or girls history to make 1st Team All-GWOC in their freshman and sophomore years since Michael Bernard did it back in 2008 and 2009.

The very next day, Stringfield went out and shot a 78 at the OHSAA Division I Sectional match at WGC Golf Course. Her score was good for a 2nd place finish out of 62 individuals. She qualified for OHSAA Districts for the second straight year and for the second straight year she was the top scoring individual that advanced to districts that was not on a qualifying team.

Stringfield will set her sights on qualifying for a trip to state on October 7th at Pipestone Golf Club.
