Student Athletes of the Month | February, 2026

Warrior Athletics is excited to announce our Student-Athletes of the Month for February, 2026.

The recognition is awarded to student-athletes, nominated by their coaches for any number of reasons - play on the field, hard work in the class room, leadership in the program, work in the community, and more.

On top of the recognition, each student-athlete will receive a gift basket courtesy of Texas Roadhouse of Huber Heights. We're grateful for their consistent support of our student-athletes and our athletic department!

Isaiah Thompson, Boys Basketball

Thompson was a key cog for a Warrior Basketball team who went 17-4 in the regular season. In addition to being a vocal leader on the team, he was rewarded with a First Team All-GWOC selection, a First Team District 15 selection, and was named the District 15 Player of the Year. Thompson will represent Wayne athletics as a member of the "South" team in both the Ohio North vs South basketball AND football games.

Lindsay Westbeld, Girls Bowling

After Westbeld was named as a Second Team All GWOC performer for her regular season, she followed that up by qualfiying as an individual for the OHSAA District Meet. In sectionals, Westbelld rolled games of
152 and 135 before coming in with a whopping 219 in her final game to finish with a total of 506. That number qualified her as one of the top-10 individuals not on qualifying teams.
