Warrior Athletics is excited to announce our Student-Athletes of the Month for September, 2025.

The recognition is awarded to student-athletes, nominated by their coaches for any number of reasons - play on the field, hard work in the class room, leadership in the program, work in the community, and more.

On top of the recognition, each student-athlete will receive a gift basket courtesy of Texas Roadhouse of Huber Heights. We're grateful for their consistent support of our student-athletes and our athletic department!

Alex Moncrief | Football | Senior
A lot of times when people are nominated for Student athlete of the month the person that gets the nomination is the star of the team. Someone that scores the most touchdowns, or scores the most points.  Alex Moncrief is only concerned with team success. His contribution to the team is bigger than wins and losses. He is a person that is well respected amongst his teammates because of what he does that isn't seen or heard about.  When teammates need a ride and maybe late or not make it to practice, Alex will pick them up to make sure they make it. No matter if they are a freshman or upperclassmen.  He is someone that is a great representative of not only the athletics at Wayne but the community of Huber Heights.  One of the football coaches has stated to Alex when he comes into the coaches room " You add Value to our program". When you add value to something you aren't subtracting, you are giving. Alex gives his all not only to the Wayne athletic program but also the community and classroom.  He holds a 3.4 GPA and helps in the community with passing out shoes to younger kids who isn't as fortunate.  Alex truly embodies what it means to be a Student Athlete of the month.  Thank you for taking the time to read about Alexander.
- Wide Receivers Coach, AJ Lash

Emma Watson | Cheer | Senior
Emma is our Fall Cheer Captain.  She goes above and beyond in making sure we have everything we need for game day.  She is always up to date with our themes for games and working to keep a positive GameDay vibe.  There is a lot of background work for game day and she does an excellent job staying on top of it all.  She is a leader on and off the field.  She will help manage any issues girls may have with one another and has always been a great mediator.  The younger team members all look up to her.  In her free time she helps teach cheers to middle school cheerleaders.
- Cheer Coordinator, Jessie Livesay

Congratulations to Alex and Emma on this honor!
