Warrior Boys Win Regionals, Program Qualifies for 14 State Events

Over the course of the last two weeks, Heidkamp Stadium played host to the first ever OHSAA Super Regional for track & field. The Warrior Boys program took advantage of the friendly confines as they scored 89 points to win the 2026 Regional Championship.

The boys scored 89 points, besting 2nd place Beavercreek (77) by 12 points. The title is the 12th in school history.

In total, the program qualified for 14 events at next week's state championship meet between the boys (10 events) and the girls (4 events).

  • Key'Shawn Garrett | 100m & 200m (1st at Regionals in both)
  • Keng Martin | 110H (4th) & 300H (2nd)
  • Nehemiah Smith | High Jump (3rd)
  • Ryder Penrod | 110H (5th, At Large Qualifier)
  • Semarion Sroufe | 100m (3rd)
  • 4x100m Relay | Martin, Garrett, Sroufe, Brayden Redd (1st)
  • 4x200m Relay | Garrett, Sroufe, Penrod, Derrick Stinnett (1st)
  • 4x400m Relay | Stinnett, Alex Moncrief, James Dyer, Tremain Chappell (2nd)

Girls Qualifiers
  • Ma'khayla Bass | 400m (2nd)
  • Trinity Perkins | 100H (3rd)
  • Amaya Fleming | Shot Put (4th)
  • 4x200m Relay | Bass, Perkins, Ashlynn O'Connor, London Evans (3rd)

The program sets their sights on the OHSAA State Championship Meet this Saturday and Sunday at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium on the campus of Ohio State University. Events will begin at 9:30 am on both days. Tickets can be purchased at www.ohsaa.org/tickets.
